Inspection and parts sorting

We check suspect parts against your acceptance criteria, separate them by result, and record the work, at a WGS facility or in your plant.

What this covers

How the work runs

Parts are checked against your criteria. Good parts keep moving; suspect parts are pulled and documented before they reach assembly.

What WGS does

Inspection to your criteria

We confirm the drawing revision, boundary samples, or written criteria with your quality team before we start.

Sorting and containment

Suspect stock is split into conforming and nonconforming, counted, and tagged. The disposition decision stays with you.

On-site or at a WGS facility

We've done inspection for the metal casting industry, in our facilities and in customer plants, since 2008. Where the stock is and how fast it has to move decides which fits.

Rework and finishing in the same pass

If parts need rework, ask about adding grinding, deburring, or blasting to the same job.

What you get back

Deliverables

  • Counts of parts inspected, accepted, and rejected
  • Identification and segregation of nonconforming stock
  • A written record of what was checked and against which criteria
  • Parts packaged and returned to your schedule

Information for a quote

  • Part number and description, and whether drawings or photos exist
  • The defect or characteristic to be checked, and the accept/reject criteria
  • Quantity on hand and whether more is arriving
  • Where the stock is now: your plant, ours, or a third party
  • When you need good parts back on the line

Send what you have. If there are confidential drawings, say so and we'll arrange how to share them.
